Introducing Jenny Slash

Hi, I’m Jenny Slash (aka NotScaredToGetHappy!), another mibbian who’ll be contributing to this blog. I had created a blogger account in the summer, but was too chicken to do what I wanted with it. I was afraid to go up against all those great indie pop, music blogs in which the authors were actually around during the 80s, when the genre started and have great stories to go with the music they post. This blog is different. It’s a blog written by teens for teens. It’s all about exposing our peers to new types of music, which I’m all for. I’ll be posting mostly, unpopular pop bands -yes, I’m aware that’s an oxymoron- from the 1980s to today. You might get a few bands from the sixties in there and the odd seventies track, but that’s it. Hopefully my playlists will get you curious about underground pop bands, so you’ll want to go out and support them. Supporting independent acts is important because they bring a different point of view to music that isn’t being offered by big label bands.
To start, this first playlist will offer a hodge podge of the different styles of underground pop I’ll be posting.

I kept my promise. Here's the embeded playlist. I switched out a couple of songs, but it's basically the same as the original. I didn't think I'd be able to get it up. imeem.com didn't have all the songs that I needed and Myflashfetish.com was giving me error messages, but luckily the admin straightened it out.
