Is it really all about music?
*Warning this a rant* So, recently I was reading a blog on yahoo. I won't say which one but the author kept bashing a tiny little band called You Me at Six. The band sent this guy an EP I don't even know if he listened to it but he kept saying that the band had a horrible name and they were emo (they're pop-punk band). He also said they're name was not star worthy.I really don't get why names matter I thought it was all about the music, maybe I was wrong. Wait never mind I'm never wrong. So here's a video of the band and see if they are star worthy or not.

They're not emo.
They're certainly not pop-punk either.
I'd call them alternative rock.
Emo would be Hawthorne Heights and Armor For Sleep (nothing wrong with that, I quite like Armor) and pop-punk would be like NOFX, Offspring, Guttermouth. Early Epitaph and Lookout records stuff.
